Yah, forget about normal working hours when you have two small children. I squeeze work on the schedule in during afternoon naps (like right now) and in the evening, after they’ve gone to bed… from about 9:00 pm to 1:00 am.
So here’s what I’ve done: updated most photos, adjusted all dates, edited and revised Amy & George’s bios, scheduled Broadway Connection master class times and performance info, revised the actual schedule about 742 times, typed it into our format, started working on updated descriptions of classes, emailed Gilbert for his bio and picture (yay for our new hip-hop teacher!!!!!), oh, and I’ve placed all students in proper level classes.
What I have left do: update our staff bios, change photos on policies page, update policies from Summer 08 brochure, redo price table to reflect all the twice a week classes and Broadway Connection stuff, write “tapaholics” description, pick up photo CD from Steve Tressler, rewrite music information for Chuck, create a Grapevine ad, edit and update all our mailing lists, print blank recommendations, fill them in with classes and comments, submit music listings to StateCollege.com, craig’s list, HappyValley.com, etc., create master excel spreadsheet of all classes and workshops for the fall, create individual class lists and link all back to master spreadsheet for tracking, create Fall 2008 codes in Quickbooks, create pdf of registration form, update website with Fall08, Broadway Connection and Studio Company information…. You get the idea.
So right now, I’m taking a brain break. Here’s what has inspired me for the month of August: http://www.wish.org/stories/hitech/careers/cassandra_ballerina. We all forget what a beautiful gift it is to even be ABLE to dance…. Let’s not lose sight of the dreams and opportunities we have to achieve them.
